So here is the skinny (!) on all the legal stuff.

Common sense disclaimer: We are not a mega-corporation but a small, specialized craft business that really wants to make you happy and well-dressed. We will be as fair as we can given your individual situation!

• Forms of payment accepted are cash, money orders and Paypal. We accept personal checks with a hold on delivery until the check clears, usually a week or two. We are willing to consider barter/trade in certain instances.


• All corsets are guaranteed for the normal life of the fabric.


• All sales are final. Goods are inspected thoroughly before sale and/or shipping. In the unlikely event that you have received a damaged item, contact us immediately for a return authorization number.


• A sales tax of 8.25% will be charged to California residents.


• Standard shipping method is USPS Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation. Shipping and handling is usually around $10.oo. Please contact us for foreign orders or for a different shipping method.


• Lovely Creature Corsetry and Shaerie Mead are in no way responsible for injuries incurred due to the misuse of the garments provided. Every effort has been made to educate and inform our customers as to the correct way to wear a corset. Wearing a corset is a personal choice made by the customer.


• Your confidentiality is of utmost importance to us. We will never sell, rent or trade our mailing list or the personal information we obtain from any of our customers. We do keep measurements and final patterns on file for future reference.


• We are always happy when our corsets are given as gifts, however one must be sure of size for this to be effective. Gift Certificates are a lovely alternative in this situation.

CUSTOM ORDERS:

Work starts on custom orders as soon as they are placed. For this reason, $50.00 out of the amount deposited is non-refundable. We allow 14 days after the placing of a custom order to cancel the order. After 14 days, $100.00 is non-refundable to cover the labor up to that point. Any changes made to design or fabric after the muslin fitting may result in extra charges of which you will be informed. Custom corsets will be finished within a 6 - 8 week period, schedules allowing. We are happy to offer layaway and installment plans - again, discussion is the key. We work tirelessly to ensure that your corset fits you perfectly. If you are not satisfied, contact us within seven days of receiving or purchasing your corset and we will discuss the problem and what steps can be taken to solve it. After seven days, the sale will be considered final.

OFF THE RACK ORDERS:

We offer exchange on size only for off the rack corsets, so please choose your style and fabric carefully. Corset must be UNWORN with all tags still attached. All monitors differ as to color representation, we are happy to send out fabric swatches. Off the rack corsets will be finished within 2 - 6 weeks depending on time of year. Exchange may be made within seven days of receiving or purchasing your corset. No exchanges after seven days.
